Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actor who is employed in TV and film is well known for movies like Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra Maria Lara was the sole son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. When she was 16, Alexandra played the leading role in several TV dramas. Her critically acclaimed role in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including that of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge in the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the diva. Over the years Alexandra has worked in several notable international and national projects. These comprise British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as in addition to the French historical miniseries Napoleon.
